News for this lovely Friday The 13th...I'm not usually superstitious but this was a WeIRd one!
I wanted so badly to come on tonight and show you some awesome fabulous cupcakes I made for Austin's little league function earlier tonight.  But unfortunately,  they turned out HoRRiBly!!! and  you will NOT be seeing photos of those little babies.  I honestly wanted to tell them that the kids made them.. or accidentally flip the container over in the car ride there... SORRy :(

Seriously, today was a day from H.E. double L.  Everything I touched today went funky!  First NO Blogger...and that put me into withdrawal.  My whole day just spiraled from there.  Then we discovered a new sinkhole in my back yard.  Now, Hubby noticed this a few weeks back and just filled the teeny hole with dirt.  We planted a small Heather bush on top and hubs said 'Nothing to be worried about'.   Then a few days later... another small but deep hole...

NOtice small hole at top of photo (below pink flower bud)  this was hole # 2.

On his way to the bus this morning, my little man, Austin came running back in all freaked out!   Seems the whole back end of the yard is seeming to sink in, and a new bigger hole has appeared 2 feet away from that one...and a HUGE okay small crack is connecting the two!  Now Austin is much like me and we are not comforted by the 'it's fine' attitude of the hubs...especially Austin seeing his ball get sucked in.  I'm sure he'll have nightmares of the house being swallowed hole.  It'll be fine my bu double T...

Don't laugh...it's happened...
NOtice the gaping hole that swallowed up an entire warehouse and telephone poles in Guatemala in 2010?

And this one in Beijing!

Okay, I know mine isn't that bad...yet.  But it did eat Austin's baseball!  Really... what's next...

So in other news I joined Weight Watchers yesterday!  Yeah Me.  I haven't even had time to sit and read the books...perhaps that's what I should be doing now...Hummmmm.  But in the coming weeks I'll be sure to share my successes & even the failures with you...progress & hopefully a new recipe or two.

And,  I have lots and lots of projects running around inside my brain just waiting to be unleashed.  So as soon as I can giveaway my children find a way to occupy my children & hubby & Mother in Law, I'll get those done and right on here for you!  I want to make bracelets,  I want to re tile or do something spectacular to my 'new to me' kitchen table...and I have some fun with Tshirts coming up.

Happy Weekend Everyone.  Pray we do not get sucked into the depths of HE double L.  Thanks (smile)

Kim

hmmm....do you have any more holes/burrows in your backyard. we've got some moles that live in our backyard and sometimes burrow too close to the surface and we sink in like this. your little guy cracks me up too! isn't it a mom thing to have a huge to do list.... but when we're old, we'll be thankful that we have a long list and memories of time with our kiddos. otherwise your list is done, but the time was misspent. hope you day picks up tomorrow friend :) andiejaye

Oh my, hoping you do not get sucked up in the holes! And weight watchers, congratulations. We have a little walking group, and we walk 3 miles every night. One of the girls in the group has been doing weight watchers for two years now and has lost 100 lbs, and has kept it off.

wow woman you are busy! We had a sink hole in our front yard that tried to swallow my friends car once. It was interesting to say the least. My dad didn't think it was a big deal either in fact they may still have it!

OM Gosh! That is scary. I have seen really big sink holes that used to open up in the orange groves in Lakeland, FL. As a kid, they seemed like the World was coming to an end. Hope it all stops soon.

The cupcakes....if they tasted good, then you did good.

Weight Watchers takes effort and let the force be with you. Me...I think I will go look and see what is in the frig....

You go girl!
Becky
