I have some easy peasy Valentine Cupcakes to share with you today! Yes, EEE ZZZZ.
Chances are you may already have all of the ingredients in your cupboard, if not a quick run to your closest supermarket is all you need to do get them! No hoop jumping with this one! I even used boxed cake mix and prepared frosting. The secret to these pretties is Fruit by the Foot or some other type of fruit roll up (any brand, color, or flavor will work).

So prepare your cupcakes any way you want. We used a box of devil's food and made 2 dozen,
letting them cool.
Tip: when making chocolate cake or cupcakes, substitute 1/4 cup of coffee for some of the water... to die for moist and yummy. You don't taste the coffee it just enhances the chocolate flavor!
Since my Boom is home with an ear infection today, she helped frost them with Mommy.
Nothing fancy schmancy needed... just cover the tops with your favorite icing.
Next we unrolled our fruit strip which will become our pretty flower cupcake topper.
I like the fruit by the foot because they separate down the middle with a squiggly line allowing me to make 2 flowers with each strip.
Fold over and pinch one end of the fruit strip.
Using the squiggly side up, begin rolling and pinching the candy at the bottom.
Kinda like making a rolled flower out of some fabric strips.
roll... pinch... fold... roll
Whatever method you feel will give you a pretty flower, then place them on top of the cupcakes.
Boom and I set up a pretty little vignette to snap some quick photos of our cakes for you!
Give it a try...
Go ahead and involve the kids in the decorating process!
Flowers are like children, the are all different but they are all oh so special!
After all, the only thing better than giving your family a sweet treat to tell them you love them is to share your time and attention with them!
I'll be back a bit later in the week with another rose cupcake to share for LOVE Day!
